Hrim Mantra

What does Hreem mean?

Hreem is a one-syllable sound chanted either silently or aloud as a seed, or bija, mantra. Bija mantras are believed to calm the mind and keep the focus on a particular thought or purpose.

The mantra is invoked during yoga practice and meditation and is valued for the power of its vibration. Each Hindu deity is associated with a particular sound vibration. As the seed mantra of the Great Goddess, hreem promotes healing and creativity, and purifies the heart, opening it to compassion.

Although the word, hreem, doesn't have a specific meaning in and of itself, the individual letters are symbolic:

Ha means Shiva, one of the main Hindu deities
Ra is prakriti, or nature in all its forms, including universal and intelligence
Ee (i in the alternate spelling of the word) refers to Mahamaya, the mother of the universe
Mm is nada, or the sound of the mother of existence

The Tantric mantra Hreem (Hrim) is one of the most important of all mantras. It is the equivalent of OM (AUM) for the Goddess. It refers to the cosmic heart and can be used for all names and forms of the Goddess. Hreem is Pure Undifferentiated Consciousness and the Creative Power of the Infinite Creation.

The blessings of HREEM (hrim) is like the spiritual nature of the Sun, particularly in terms of illumination. It increases our aspiration and receptivity to Divine light, wisdom and truth. Its pure vibration also has the ability to heal us.

Incident regarding Hrim Mantra:

There was a friend of mine whose younger brother was the only son in two sisters. Every small to big wish of that boy was fulfilled by their parents. Because of this that boy started adapting bad habits, he was doing good in studies but as he went in high school he was not even focusing on studies. Bad marks and failure got the parents in worry. They warned him if that will be repeated he wont be allowed to go school, he got failed again and as his parents warned him again he told by himself What are you saying about not sending me to the school, I will not be going school even if you want. His parents were shocked by this thing. Later on, they consulted me and i suggested for their son to chant Hrim Mantra and tell him that he have to chant this Mantra and rest he can whatever he wants.

The boy started chanting Hrim Mantra. Within few days he started realising what is he doing, and started leaving the bad habits he adapted. After sometime he got on proper track, everything was good now and they were happy and satisfied.

Hrim Mantra helps the person to get back on proper track and this is especially for children.

Children have the habit of adapting so many things from outside, their surrouding and with the people they spent their time. So it is basic that they may adapt good as well as bad habits from the surrounding. Harsh behaviour towards this thing may result into worse situation rather than that solution of that which is HRIM MANTRA is a way better and best option.
